Barb Carson loved her car.
 It was a large, dark blue car.
 It was a work of art and it was magic.

People stared at Barb’s dark blue car.
 Dogs would bark when Barb honked her horn at them.

This is a tale about Chip the Chimp.
 Chip is the chess champ of Chesterton.
 Chip is no chump when it comes to chess.

One day a chap named Chet came to Chesterton.
 He chose to play a game of chess with Chip.

“I am the best champ of all.
 There is no chimp who plays chess better than I do,” Chet said.

Chet bet a chunk of change and his ranch
 that he would win the chess match.
 He put a chunk of change on a bench.

But Chip did not have time to play.
 He had to pitch in the big game.

Chet had a hunch that Chip did not want to play chess.

 “I choose to pitch.

 A bunch of chimps came to watch.

 He had Chet’s king.
 Now Chet could not win the match.

 Chuck lives with a pack of crickets.
 They live in a stack of grass.

 Instead, Chuck went quack, quack.

Other crickets made fun of his quacking.
 They said he made too much racket.

One day Chuck went to look for a snack.

Chuck went to Vick’s shack.
 He saw Vick pecking the sand.

 “That chicken says click and not cluck.”

Chuck stopped to think.He thought,

 and I’m a cricket that quacks.
 Can we trade the click, cluck, and quack?”

Chuck, Vick, and Jack went to see a vet.
